Today we spent the day with the Darst kids (Dominic and Ellie) while mom and dad took care of some things. We started by tying our mailbox back up (the wood split and it was on the ground when we got up that morning...sorry, I forgot to take a picture). Then we went on a long walk while the kids found all kinds of treasures like bug houses and pine cones and leaves. We came back for a snack (caramel popcorn with dried bananas, nuts and chocolate) and then switched into swim suits for some fun in the kiddie pool. After a lunch of scrambled eggs (Dominic's request), the girls went down for a nap and Dominic watched a movie. The kids had a great time together and I know Cora will be talking about it for a long time to come.
